Changing Images and adding galleries

Caution about uploading images

When uploading images, keep file sizes small so your website stays fast.
Each image should be under 250 KB.
For sizing:
- Header images should be around 2000 pixels wide, for example 2000 by 1000 pixels.
- Standard images should be around 1200 pixels wide.
Always upload compressed JPG files.
Never use PNG files, as they are usually much larger and can slow your website down.
Keeping images the right size and format makes a big difference to performance and how professional your site looks.

Changing Images

Make sure you opened a page with “Edit Elementor”
To replace an image, click on it on the right.
Then click the image box on the left.
You can choose an existing image from the library, or upload a new one.
Try to use images that are similar in shape and size to keep everything looking tidy.
Once selected, the image updates instantly.
Click the Publish button.

Gallery types

There are two main types of image galleries you might see.

The first is a basic image gallery. This shows multiple images in a grid, and when you click on them, they can open larger. All images are displayed in the same format, depending on which format you have chosen, e.g. rectangle or square.

The second type allows you to use more creative styling (Pinterest look) – also known as Masonry Gallery.

Adding a gallery

To add a gallery, drag the gallery widget into your page.
Once it’s in place, click on it, then go to the left panel and choose or upload your images.

Add images to existing gallery

To add images to an existing gallery, click on the gallery and then click into the image selection.
From there, you can upload new images or select ones already in your media library.

Change the order of images in a gallery

To change the order of images, open the gallery images again.
You can drag and drop the images into the order you want.
