SEO case study: maternal support service
This case study shows how targeted SEO work helped a maternal support service significantly improve its visibility in Google and increase website traffic from relevant searches.
The starting point
Before SEO improvements, the website had limited visibility in search results. While it was appearing in Google, it was generally ranking in lower positions, meaning fewer people were finding and clicking through to the site.
This is typical for many service-based businesses. The website exists and is indexed, but it is not yet positioned strongly enough to attract consistent, high-quality traffic.
What we did
We focused on improving the website’s visibility by strengthening its SEO foundations, refining page content, and ensuring that services were clearly aligned with what potential clients are searching for.
The work also included improving how Google understands the website, helping it connect the service offering with relevant local searches.
The results
Comparing August 2025 to February 2026, the results show a clear improvement across all key metrics.
- Clicks increased from 77 to 160
- Impressions increased from 8.5k to 35.5k
- Average position improved from 35.5 to 6.7
The most important shift is in average position. Moving from page 3 or 4 in Google to page 1 dramatically increases visibility, which is reflected in the rise in impressions and clicks.
This means the website is now appearing much higher in search results and being seen by far more potential clients at the point they are actively searching for support.
What this means
This case highlights how improving rankings has a direct impact on visibility and traffic. As the website moved closer to the top of search results, it became significantly more visible, leading to more people clicking through.
It also shows how SEO builds momentum. Once rankings improve, both impressions and clicks tend to follow.
The takeaway
For service-based businesses, especially in specialised or local niches, improving your position in Google can have a major impact on visibility and enquiries.
This example shows how focused SEO work can move a website from being barely visible to appearing on the first page, where real business opportunities happen.
