Nonprofit foundations
We also work with trades, hospitality, ecommerce, and other organisations, but we understand the specific needs of the charity sector.

Every site we build has one goal: more enquiries for your business. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
A national grant-making charity working to strengthen communities across Scotland.
An early years charity supporting families across Midlothian.
A youth and community organisation supporting young people.
A charitable foundation using football to promote health and education for young people.
A professional support organisation for the healthcare sector.
What does a charity website cost and what should you expect to pay?

What we do and what this means for you
We start with a conversation
We take time to understand your organisation, your beneficiaries, your funders, and what you need your website to achieve, so we build the right website, not just any website.
We research your sector and audience
We look at how your beneficiaries and funders search for organisations like yours, so your website is built to be found and understood from day one.
We plan every page before we build
You know exactly what's going on each page and why, no surprises halfway through the project.
We design around your organisation
A clean, professional design that reflects your brand, builds trust with funders, and is welcoming and accessible to the people you support.
We build it on WordPress
Fast, accessible, and easy for staff or volunteers to manage themselves. You're never locked in or dependent on us to make basic changes.
You review it before it goes live
You get a full preview and we refine until everything is exactly right. Nothing launches until you're happy.
We check everything before launch
A full SEO check before go-live so there are no errors and your site is ready to be found on Google from day one.
We hand it over properly
You get a personalised video walkthrough so your team can manage the website confidently. And we're here if you need us afterwards.
What affects the cost of your website?
Number of Pages
A typical charity website has 6 to 10 pages: home, about, what we do, how to get involved, news, and contact. Larger organisations with multiple programmes, funding streams, or regional offices will need more pages, which adds to the time and cost.
Site Functionality
A straightforward charity website sits at the simpler end. If you need extras such as online donation functionality, event booking, grant application forms, membership areas, or a searchable resource library, these add to the scope and cost.
SEO Setup
Basic SEO is included as standard, so your website is built to be found from day one. If you want ongoing SEO support, additional content pages, or help targeting specific funders or beneficiary groups, we can quote for that separately.
Content & Photography
We help you write all the content for your website, so you don't have to worry about it. If you have photos of your work and the people you support, we'll use them. If not, we can source appropriate imagery. You'll always get the chance to review everything and suggest changes before anything goes live.
Accessibility & Security
All websites are built to meet WCAG accessibility guidelines and load fast and stay secure. Larger websites with more complex functionality or stricter accessibility requirements need additional work, which affects the overall price.
Ongoing Support
Some organisations want a handover and that's it. Others want monthly updates, someone to call when something needs changing, or help keeping content fresh. We tailor ongoing support to what suits your organisation and budget.
What are the ongoing costs after your website goes live?
Once your website is live, there are a few ongoing costs to be aware of. None of them are surprises, and all of them can be included in a grant application if needed.
Web Hosting
Your website will be hosted on our own fast, green, UK-based cloud servers, kept secure, updated, and backed up regularly. Use our hosting calculator to find the right package for your website.
Local SEO
A well-built website gets you found from day one. If you want to push further up Google for search terms your beneficiaries or funders use, ongoing SEO support can make a significant difference. We can quote for this separately.
Website Updates
Keeping your website fresh with news, impact reports, updated programmes, and events helps both your Google ranking and the trust of new visitors. You can send us content and we'll update it for you, or we can train your team to do it themselves. Update packages start from £50 a month.
Ongoing Support
Once your website is live, we don't disappear. We offer a range of additional services to help your organisation grow its online presence, including social media management, blog post writing, email marketing, brochure design, and more. Get in touch to find out what would suit your organisation best.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my charity website take to build?
Most charity and nonprofit websites are live within 4 to 8 weeks. Websites with donation systems, event booking, or more complex functionality may take longer. We'll give you a clear timeline before we start.
Who writes the content for my website?
We work closely with your team to develop the content for your website. You know your organisation, your beneficiaries, and your funders better than anyone, so we guide and support you through the process.
Will my website show up when funders or beneficiaries search for us?
Every website we build is set up with SEO best practices from day one. If you want to push further up Google for the search terms your beneficiaries or funders use, we can quote for ongoing SEO support separately.
Can our team update the website themselves?
Yes. We provide full training and a personalised handover video so your staff or volunteers feel confident making changes themselves. If you'd rather just send us updates and let us handle it, update packages start from £50 a month.
Will my website be hosted and do we need a domain?
Yes to both. Most of our clients host their websites on our own fast, green, UK-based cloud servers. We can also register your domain or help with the setup if you already own one. Hosting includes regular backups, security updates, and monthly support.
Can we include the website cost in a grant application?
Yes. We are very familiar with charity grant applications and can provide a detailed quote and project description suitable for submission to funders such as the National Lottery Community Fund or Corra Foundation. Just get in touch and we will talk it through with you.
Will my website be accessible to all our users?
Yes. All our websites are built to meet WCAG accessibility guidelines, making them usable for people with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive impairments. This is something we take seriously for all clients, but especially for charities whose beneficiaries may have specific accessibility needs.
Can you redesign our existing charity website?
Yes. We regularly work with charities whose website looks outdated, is hard to update, or simply isn't communicating their impact clearly. We'll tell you honestly whether it needs a full rebuild or just some targeted improvements.
What if we're not sure what our website needs yet?
No problem. Get in touch and we'll have a straightforward conversation about your organisation and what you're trying to achieve. No jargon, no pressure, just honest advice on the best approach for you.
Common concerns about your new website
We don't have any content yet
No problem. We'll provide a clear content plan so your team knows exactly what's needed for each page. We'll guide you through the process and help shape and refine what you produce before anything goes live.
We don't want our website to look amateur
Every website we build is custom-designed around your organisation. No generic templates, no copy-paste layouts. Something that reflects your work professionally and builds trust with both your beneficiaries and your funders.
What if we need changes after our website goes live?
No problem. Your team can manage basic changes themselves using our handover video. For anything else, send it to us and we'll sort it. Update packages start from £50 a month if you want regular support.
We don't want to be tied into a long contract
You won't be. We work on a project basis with a straight upfront price. No long-term commitment unless you choose to add ongoing support, and that's always your call.
We've had a bad experience with web designers before
We hear this a lot. Clear timelines, a straight price from the start, regular updates throughout, and a finished website that clearly communicates your impact. No going quiet, no nasty surprises.
We need our website live quickly
Most charity websites are live within 4 to 8 weeks. If you're on a tight timeline, perhaps because of a funding deadline or a launch event, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly what's achievable and how we can make it work.
We already have a website. Do we really need a new one?
Maybe not. We'll take an honest look at what you have and tell you straight, whether it needs a full rebuild or just some targeted improvements to better serve your beneficiaries and funders.
We're worried about the cost
Most charity websites are priced between £1,500 and £3,500. You'll get a clear quote upfront with no hidden costs. If you're applying for grant funding to cover the cost, we can provide a detailed quote suitable for your application.
Our team isn't very technical
You don't need to be. We provide a personalised video walkthrough so your staff or volunteers can manage the basics themselves with confidence. And we're always here if you need us.
Will our website actually help us attract funding?
A professional, well-structured website that clearly communicates your impact makes a real difference when funders are researching your organisation. We have built websites for some of Scotland's most respected charitable organisations, including Corra Foundation, and we understand what funders look for.
